Product Description
A stunning late 1950's- very early 1960's cocktail hourglass shaped dress made from emerald green ruffle pattern nylon taffeta with a green chiffon "scarf" accenting a high bustline and draping down the back of the dress.
The inside of the dress is lined in brown nylon and the back fastens with a metal zipper.
The dress is in good wearable condition but does have alterations made by the original owner to enlarge it a little bit by letting out the back darts. The front darts have a little bit of stretching at the seams (maybe this is why she let out the back darts!). The back left side where the dart has been let out, was ironed at some point so the ruffle pattern is flat there.
also tried to photograph the areas on the chiffon scarf where there is some slight discoloration from age.
Still a stunning dress and if this fit me, I'd keep it to wear!
Bust measures 38" (will fit a 36" bust), waist measures 32" (will fit a 28"- 30" waist), Hips measure 38" (will fit 36" hips), length from shoulder to hem is 38 1/2".
