A pair of c. 1976- 1977 platform evening shoes made wood "wood" effect plastic soles and gold vinyl uppers.
These are the originals and are NOT modern reproductions. I'm old enough to remember when these came out as my grandmother had a pair with the exact same soles that she wore into the early 1980's!! The original price sticker is £7,99 is still stuck to the bottom of the right shoe.
The shoes are in very good- excellent condition with very little wear (obvious since the price is still stuck to them!). There is slight scuffing to the inside vinyl of the left shoe and a slight tiny crack in the vinyl near the inside toe but nothing that detracts from the look of the shoe or the wearability.
Embossed as being a size 37 which is a UK size 4 (US 6) BUT my mother in law tried these on and she is a slim to medium fit UK size 5 (US 7) and she got these on easily and said they were comfortable. She said that they felt like that they would also fit a UK size 4 1/2 ( US 6 12).
Please use measurements as a guide and compare against a similar style pair of shoes. Inside sole measures 9 1/4", inside width is 3", heel height is 4 1/2", platform height is 1 1/2".
