Product Description
A mid- late 1960's fitted dress with a slight mod styling to it, made from a dusky pink medium weight wool and rayon blend fabric and lined in rayon satin. Princess seams at the front flatter the figure.
The waist tabs are accented with brass colored ornate buttons. The back fastens with a nylon zipper.
The dress has very light wear from occasional use and 40 years or storage. VERY VERY VERY slight fading to the pink under each arm but I'm nit picking here as it really isn't noticeable unless someone's eyeball is right up close to your armpit (which ain't going to happen!). I also found a tiny pinhead sized moth bite at the left bust where the princess seam is (see photo) and someone wrote a name in black ink on the inside lining of the dress.
Everything sounds worse than the dress actually looks. I would not hesitate to wear this.
I really love this dress and if I were a little thinner (I said little, mind you!), I would not hesitate to keep it as it's a bit snug on me at the minute. If I manage to lose a couple more pounds, then this is going into my closet and will be worn with my white gogo boots.
Will fit an approx. UK size 12- 14 (US 10- 12) but please use the measurements as a guide./ I am 5'9" and a UK 14/16 (US 12/14) and this is a bit snug on me although I can get into it easily. Will fit the next size down from me.
Shoulders measure 16 1/2", Bust measures 41 1/2" (my bust is 41" and it's snug, will suit a 38"- 40" bust better), waist measures 34" (will fit a 30"- 32" waist, my waist is 33" and it's snug), hips measure 42" (will fit 38"- 40" hips). Length from shoulder to hem is 38".
