A VERY elegant early- mid 1950's off-the-shoulder cocktail dress by Miss America from black silk taffeta and black velvet with puffed taffeta runching all around the neckline.
This dress is very well made and has a ILGWU label inside. The bodice is boned, lined in black cotton and partially lined in black acetate taffeta for strength. The skirt is lined only to the hips in black chiffon. The back of the dress fastens with a metal zipper.
This beautiful dress is in excellent condition and does not appear to have been worn very much, if at all!
A small size, Bust measures 36" (will fit a 34" bust, the dress form that it is pictured on has a 34" bust and it fit it perfectly), underbust/rib measurement is 32", waist measures 25" (will fit a 24" waist), Hips are ffull but will fit hips up to 36". Bodice length from shoulder to waist seam is approx. 16", length from shoulder to hem is appreox. 44".
