A pair of lovely late 1950's high heels by Lady Lincoln made from soft black suede kidskin.


These are in good wearable condition condition with only some light scuffing to the toe areas and the thin leather sole running down the heel, needs to be stuck down if they are to be worn regularly or they are ok as is.

They came from the collection of Jonathan Walford, former curator of the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto, Canada and who is also the author of the wonderful book, The Seductive Shoe. He used them on his models for the historic fashion shows he regularly puts on.

The shoes are a hard to find larger size! There is no size marked but I would size them as ranging in size from UK size 7 (US 9) medium/wide to a UK 8 (US 10) narrow/medium due to how they fit my mum and myself.

I am a UK 8 (US 10) medium/wide and can get then on easily but they are tight across my foot. My mum has a narrower foot than me and they fit her nicely. She fits into a UK 7 (US 9) medium to a UK 8 (US 10) narrow.

Inside length is 10 3/4", inside width is 3", heel height is 3 1/2".
