A very elegant hourglass shaped cocktail dress from the late 1950's- early 1960's made from swishy black taffeta and fastening up the back with a metal zipper.

The dress is in very good wearable condition an would suit being worn to an evening function dressed up with a pearl or rhinestone necklace and some long gloves. The only fault is that at the back and down the side of the right 3/4 length sleeve, the fabric is dotted with tiny specks of what looks like white paint. They are TINY, like dust speck size and would not be noticeable when worn due to the shininess of the fabric anyways. At the back of the left shoulder blade there is a small 1/8" white paint spot and a similar one at the bottom back of the skirt near the kick pleat.

Still a very elegant dress and if this fit me, I'd wear it myself!

Shoulders measure 16", Bust measures 39 1/2" (will fit a 38" bust but you will need a bullet bra as the bust darts are very high), Waist measures 30" (will fit a 27"- 28" waist so get that corset or girdle on!), Hips measure 40" (will fit hips of 36"- 38"), Bodice length from shoulder to waist is 14 1/2", dress length form shoulder to hem is 41 1/2", sleeve length is 16".
