An absolutely STUNNING robe made by French Maid from ice blue sheer nylon tricot and trimmed with matching nylon lace at the front and a satin ribbon tie.
The robe has short puffed sleeves and is in very good wearable condition. It does not appear to have been worn very much but I did find 3 tiny pin head sized moth holes, two at the front left side (see photo) and one at the middle back. these get lost in the fullness of the fabric. One ribbon tie has a few tiny grey spots on it.There is also the off snag from approx. 45 years of storage. nothing that detracts from the look or beauty of this garment.
Labelled as a size "small" but I do not know what sort of sizing they were using as this would swamp a modern size "small". It is a modern size "large". I am 5'9" and a UK size 14/16 (US 12/14) and this fits me perfectly. It will fit a bust of 40"- 44", waist and hips are free, will fit shoulders of up to 16 1/2", length from shoulder to hem is 38".
