What makes this book rare is that the original examples that the girl, Helen Burgess, sewed still remain with the book along with neatly written pen inscribed notes by some of the illustrations and her "test piece" at the front which the teacher wrote that the "stitches were too large"!
The book is fill with drawings and is 152 pages long. Book measures 9 1/4" x 7 1/4" x 1/2". Spine and cover is tight, no missing pages.
