Product Description
A c. 1876- 1877 Victorian toddler's dress made from crisp white cotton with ornate cutwork and broderie anglaise decoration all down the front, sleeves, back neckline and hem.
Has a wide scooped neckline and dropped shoulder seams as is typical of mid 19th century clothing. Fastens at the back with linen covered buttons (one is missing the other two have been mangled by a mangle!) and waist ties.
Other than the mangled buttons and the missing button, the dress is in very good- excellent condition with the odd tiny pinprick sized grey spot from 130+ years of storage and a small 1/4" portion of seam which has come apart under the right sleeve. Cotton is sparkling white and crisp!
Completely handsewn.
Wide dropped shoulder seams measure 12", chest measures 23", Waist measures 20", length is 21".
