C.1840-1850. A man's fancy waistcoat made entirely from Berlin woolwork in closely cross-stitched coloured wools, with a striped pattern. The edges are bound in blue silk and the buttons are covered in the same material. It is double-breasted and would no doubt have been made by the wife or daughter of the wearer.
