Corsets and Crinolines is involved in the trade of antique and vintage clothing and related items. This document defines our policies and methods regarding shipping and payment

Payment Methods

NORTH AMERICAN CUSTOMERS (U.S.A. and Canada)
We accept the various methods of payment defined below .
1) Paypal. Credit/Debit cards are also accepted through Paypal. We do not charge a fee for Paypal payments.

2) International money orders and personal checks in US or Canadian dollars. Money orders/checks will be subject to a surcharge (charges are for money orders and checks only). Please see the scale below.

3)Cash in US or Canadian dollars sent at your own risk. Try to send this registered and wrap it up well. We will always round down to the nearest dollar to avoid sending coins.

4)American Express travelers checks in £ sterling or US dollars. There is no foreign transaction fee for these and are good for large orders.

5)Personal check if it's drafted in British pound sterling from a UK bank. There are no fees for checks drawn in British Pound Sterling from a British bank.

6)Western Union and Money Gram.

**Payment from international customers must be received within 2 weeks unless otherwise notified. Orders will be cancelled after this period if no payment has been received.

UNITED KINGDOM CUSTOMERS (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland only)
We accept the various methods of payment defined below .
1) Paypal. Credit/Debit cards accepted through Paypal. We do not charge a fee for payments by Paypal.

2)Personal cheque or postal order.

3)Bank transfer.

4)Cash in Pounds Sterling. Try to send this recorded or Special Delivery and wrap it up well. We will always round down to the nearest pound to avoid sending coins.

**Payment from domestic customers must be received within 1 week unless otherwise notified. Orders will be cancelled after this period if no payment has been received.

REST OF THE WORLD
We accept the various methods of payment defined below.
1) Paypal. Credit/Debit cards are also accepted through Paypal only. We do not charge a fee for Paypal payments.

2)Western Union and Money Gram.

3)IBAN bank transfers from European customers.

4)Western Union and Money Gram.

5)Cash in British Pound sterling, US dollars or Euros sent well wrapped up by registered mail at your own risk.

Please note that we do not send items out on approval and all orders must be paid in full before being dispatched.

We are happy to accept returns with the following conditions:

Exchange Rates

All prices listed on Corsets and Crinolines are given in Pounds Sterling (£) and U.S. Dollars ($). The conversion used to calculate the dollar value is regularly updated to reflect the true exchange rate, however a dramatic rise or fall in this rate may not be instantly reflected. The dollar value given should therefore only be used as a guide.

Consignment Items

Occasionally, we may feature items listed as a 'consignment item'. In these cases, we act purely as an agent for the seller. You may make an offer to purchase consignment items through us, and we will will forward your offer and details on to the seller. The seller will then contact you directly. The sellers terms and conditions of sale may differ from that of Corsets and Crinolines, and these will be forwarded on to you by the seller before you commit to any purchase. As an agent, we cannot accept responsibility for any returns or refunds on behalf of the buyer or seller.

Shipping Methods and Times

PACKAGING
All items are sent in discreet, plain logo free packaging with a return name of L. Marvin for privacy. Depending on the fragility of the item, we use bubble wrap lined postal pack envelopes or recycled cardboard boxes. All items are wrapped in acid free tissue paper.

CUSTOMS LABELS
Parcels being sent outside of the European Union are required by law to have a customs label affixed to them. Contents are always simply stated as being "antique" or "vintage" clothing. The value of the item stated on the label will not include shipping costs.

UNITED KINGDOM
Items will be sent by 1st, 2nd or Special Delivery depending on weight and value.

REST OF WORLD

Items will be sent through the Royal Mail from ENGLAND. We use surface mail and airmail and comprehensive insurance is included. Larger and heavier items over 2 kilograms will be sent by Parcelforce (by surface or air). Surface mail takes about 56 days, airmail takes about 1-2 weeks. If you are in a rush for an item, faster services are available. Please enquire. A full list of shipping options will be sent upon receipt of your order.
