C. 1925. A wrap around corset (no lacing but still has a busk front) made from Tea Rose pink brocade
coutil with elastic panels (consisting of 2" wide ribbon sections of elastic all sewn together) made by PN. The corset
is completely straight in shape and would have been marketed towards the new young, fashionable, active woman who went out shopping, dancing and
led an active lifestyle. It is devoid of trim but has 4 long stocking suspenders with ornately embossed metal clips (the rubber is
brittle). The corset is in good condition with some light wear and some age discoloration from 80 years of storage. I do not think it
was worn very much, if at all. The original box survives with the corset but the lid is battered.
The measurements are for reference only as I do not recommend wearing antique corsets. The model number on the box is PN 1574 and this is
stamped on the inside of the corset as well. The size on the box is listed as being a
26" waist and have a "low bust" and being "medium long" in length. The actual waist of the corset measures 29", hips measure 24", front length is
14".
