A pair of 1880's- 1890's white cotton combination underwear which would have been worn underneath a corset in place of a separate chemise and pantaloons. It fastens at the front with linen covered buttons (these were mangled in the original owner's mangle!) and is trimmed with white embroidered cutwork around the neckline, armseyes and leg cuffs.
The combinations are in very good strong wearable condition. No holes or tears, the only fault being the off small light brown/light yellow age spot here and there on the garment. These are still strong enough to be worn. I will sew a replacement antique linen covered button at the top button hole as the original one was missing when I took the photos.
Shoulders will fit up to 16"- 16 1/2", Bust measures approx. 44" (these were meant to be worn loose, a bust up to 38" would suit this), Waist and hips measure approx. 44" (hips up to 40" would suit this), Length from shoulder to leg cuff is 39", shoulder to crotch is 34". Leg cuff measures approx. 18" all around.
