A reproduction of a 1860's ladies Garibaldi blouse. I had this custom made for me a few years ago by a Sutler to wear to 1860's events but I no longer do reenactment events so this lovely blouse is going to waste!
It is machine made from medium weight white cotton with shell buttons at the front. It has dropped shoulder seams and puffed sleeves just like the original Garibaldi blouses did.
The blouse is in very good condition with no holes, rips or stains, it was always washed after every wear and I'm not a very sweaty person! It's not 100% authentic with it's machined button holes but it does the job. See photo three of me in the blouse to see how good it looks on!
It is a size large/extra large as I am a medium (UK size 12/14) now as this was made for me when I was a UK size 16/18 although it still fits now due to it's non fitted style. Dropped shoulders measure 23" (my shoulders are 16" and this always fitted me correctly), Bust measures 46" (this fit may various bust sizes from 38"- 44"!), Waist is free but I always wore a corset with it. Length from shoulder to hem is 20 3/4", Sleeve length is 25" (this was made to fit my 5'9" height).
