1930
A charming late 1930's- early 1940's skirt of American origin made from a folk patterned cotton cut on the bias so that the skirt has a pretty flowing uneven hem. The skirt fastens at the back with a metal zipper. The wide waistband is higher at the front than at the back so that it emphasizes a small waist. A lovely skirt which would be a treat to wear during the summer!
The skirt is in very good- excellent condition with only a few small light brown age spots which get lost in the busy pattern. No rips or holes.
Waist measures 26", hips measure 44" (will suit hips up to 36"/38"), Length measures approx. 33 1/2" although this varies around the skirt due to the style and cut of the skirt.
A rare item for your vintage wardrobe as early wartime every-day civilian clothing does not survive in great quantities!
