A rare Gair's Blouse Retainer & Skirt Supporter with a patent date of June 11, 1901 still in it's original box. It consists of a twill belt with a spiked metal centerpiece and three tabbed safety pins (there were originally six). It is in good displayable condition although I do not believe it could be worn anymore as the twill tape is starting to fray at the metal centerpiece. Box has some splitting at the edges. Sized for a 30" waist, box measures 4 3/4" x 1 1/2". A unusual item which rarely survives!
