A rare late 1940's roll girdle from the USA made by Miss America from a heavy duty rayon/cotton/elastic fabric which has very little stretch to it as it is so heavy duty. It truly is a foundation garment! It has four metal clipped stocking suspenders, the front two have non stretch rayon tabs with folding stocking clips. The back two suspenders are elastic (again, this is power elastic which stretches very little) with regular metal clips.
The girdle is in excellent condition and is New-old shop stock which still has it's original price tags! All the elastic is still stretchy but please not this was made before spandex so it's not as stretchy as the garments we are familiar with (the elastic is NOT rotten inside!).
The size is labeled as a medium but it's more suited to an women's XXS (perhaps it was made for a teenager). Waist ranges from 16" to just barely 23". Hips ranges from 20" to 28" MAX. Length is 13".
