A 1950's day dress made from red, blue and green toned plaid cotton. It fastens at the front with buttons and has a very full pleated skirt which could be worn with a moderate full crinoline petticoat (not included). Looks to be a homemade garment as the stitching at the hem is uneven and rough.
The dress is in good wearable condition but the back of the waist seam has come undone slightly at the center back and two pleats have become frayed at the top at the seam just to the back left. Nothing that detracts from the dress and a stylish 50's style belt would cover this up. There is some slight stretching to the bust darts.
Shoulders measure 17", Bust measures 41" (will fit a 38"- 39" bust), Waist measures 32" (will fit a 30"- 31" waist), Hips are full but will suit hips up to 40", Bodice length from shoulder to waist seam is 14 3/4", Dress length from shoulder to hem is 40 1/2".
