A STUNNING late 1940's- early 1950's NEW LOOK era fitted hourglass jacket by Weathervane made from a cotton and rayon blend "slubby weave" fabric which has a lovely sheen and weave similar to shantung. In inside has a satin feel so as not to cling. It is fitted with many gores and darts and as a slit pocket at each hip. It has all of it's original "mother of pearl" buttons along with two accenting the back peplum. It still has it's original wide stiff shoulder pads typical of fashions from this era.
The jacket is in EXCELLENT condition and will match with anything!
The size is a medium/large. Shoulders measure 16 1/2" (my shoulders are 16" and this fits fine), Bust measures 42" (will fit a 40"- 41" bust), Waist measures 32" (will fit a 30"- 31" waist), 3/4 sleeve length is 19 1/2", Jacket length from top of back collar to hem is 23".
