A stunning 1940's wedding dress made from ivory rayon crepe. The bodice has a wide net lace insert across the front shoulders and has vertical lines of ruching down the front. The dress has ties at the waist to adjust the size and fastens on the left side with hooks.
The dress is in very good condition but does have some very light yellow perspiration staining under each arm (only a slight amount near the seam on the left side but a larger round patch on the right side). There is also a yellow water mark on the right waist tie. I also found some small old dirt marks to the hem. The dress has been dry cleaned but these marks have not come out. Everything sounds worse than the dress actually looks and it is strong enough to be worn or displayed.
It is a tall size as well! I am 5'9" and the length and proportions of this dress fit me perfectly. Shoulders measure 16" but can fit a little larger shoulders to 16 1/2", Bust measures 42" (will fit a bust of 40"), Waist measures 36" (will suit a waist up to 32", can be made smaller with the waist ties), Hips are full buy will suit hips up to 40"/42", Bodice length from shoulder to dropped waistline is 18 1/2", Sleeve length is 24", Front and back dress length is 60".
