A late 1940's evening dress of American origin made from black cotton velvet with contrasting yoke and sleeves made from multicolored brocade. The dress still has it's original velvet belt which has a multicolored metal button sewn on the end. The body of the dress is princess seamed and fastens at the back and left side with black metal zippers. There are shoulder pads with pink cotton bound edges still sewn on the inside of the dress.
The dress is in excellent condition, it does not look like it was ever worn!
Shoulders will fit up to 15", Bust measures approx. 35" (will fit a 32"-34" bust), Waist measures 27" (will fit a waist up to 25"), Hips measure approx. 36" (will fit hips up to 34"), Sleeve length is 15" (these are 3/4 length sleeves), Length from shoulder to hem is 39".
