A rare December 21, 1895 issue of The Mascot, a gentleman's magazine which would have been considered very risque for the era but is quite mild to our sensibilities today!
It measures 15 1/8" x 11" and is 14 pages long. It is in fair condition as the edges and corners have foxing and damage and the front cover is loose from the rest of the magazine. There are some tears on the back pages but these do not go through the paper completely.
There are many pictures of show girls in costume, ladies showing their legs, some of women smoking and bizarrely, a baby parade. There are also amusing anecdotes, articles and some ads.
