A late 1940's tartan nylon taffeta full skirted party gown by Jay Jackson. The dress is not lined and fastens at the back with a metal zipper.
It's in very good- excellent condition and has been dry cleaned and the seams strengthened by a professional seamstress so it is ready to go! The only faults being some little pin sized holes under the folded lapels on the bodices (these are covered by lapels anyways so no one will see them). There are also a few small "spreaded" areas in the weave of the fabric on areas of the waist and some little brown pencil head sized spots near the hem. Nothing that will be noticeable when the dress is worn. No underarm staining and no holes or tears.
An extra small size, please use the garment's measurements as a guide. Bust measures 32 7/8" (will fit a 32" bust), Waist measures 28" (will fit a waist up to 26"/27"), Hips are free but will suit hips up to 36"/38", Bodice length from the top of the bust to the waist is 11", Dress length from top of the bust to the hem is 53".
